Welcome to our first issue of the year! Last year via a survey, we asked you, our readers, for feedback on our journal… what you like most, what you’d like to see more of and what you wouldn’t miss if we were to quietly remove it. In your usual generous style, you took the time to offer in-depth responses and in the main, we were pleased to find that you are well and truly satisfied with the topics we cover.
Via the survey, you also suggested some new opportunities for content, and you’ll be pleased to know, we are already working to facilitate these.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. It’s our aim to communicate valuable information – industry news, research, education etc – that informs the profession and promotes collaborative eye care in Australia and New Zealand, and positively impacts eye health outcomes. You help us do it!
It strikes me that despite the regular grumblings about different models of eye care in Australia and New Zealand, both patients and practitioners are fortunate to have such choice. While these different models obviously bring about competition, they ultimately drive better levels of care as individual ECPs strive to do their personal and professional best to meet the needs of each patient.
Quality, reliability, a friendly, supportive attitude and a collaborative approach… ultimately they’re the key to holding on to business.
Recently, when the printer of mivision’s journal dropped by, I was reminded of how important it is to go the extra mile when it comes to customer care. Dean has been handling our print for the past five years, and two years ago, when he decided to start his own print business, we went with him. Now, within a highly competitive market, which has been knocked around by online media, digital print technology and a tight economy, his business is flourishing. Why? Because he and his team go out of their way to deliver service that’s professional yet friendly, always reliable and of the highest quality. We’re constantly getting pressure calls from other printers, demanding the chance to provide a “highly competitive” quote to produce mivision, but we wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.
Quality, reliability, a friendly, supportive attitude and a collaborative approach… ultimately they’re the key to holding on to business.
