The MPSII is a portable screening device that measures macular pigment optical density (MPOD) for early identification of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) risk.
According to France Medical, “Low MPOD is a significant but modifiable risk factor for AMD. Once identified it can be monitored and corrected over time with the use of protective lenses and consumption of supplements”. The MPSII provides quick screen time of just 90 seconds per eye for efficient patient care.
