The Rodenstock Group has confirmed historical growth with consolidated sales growing by 1.5 per cent to around AU$666 million in 2017, up from $655 million in 2016.
According to the company, growth was due to expansion of international lens production facilities (more lenses were produced and sold than ever before in its history), logistics efficiency, and more particularly, the successful realignment of the eyewear division.
Total net sales of eyewear declined by 10 per cent due to the planned removal of some licensed brands, however the two core brands, Rodenstock and Porsche Design contributed significantly to the improved operating result.
