New equipment, frames, lenses and sunglasses will feature at the second edition of O-Show in Melbourne, from 14–15 July 2018, and organised by the Optical Distributors and Manufacturers Association (ODMA).
Exhibition space has sold out with 45 companies booked to exhibit at the boutique show, among them all the major equipment suppliers, which will unveil new product and conduct interactive demonstrations. New to O-Show in 2018 are VMD, Optique Line, Healy Australia, Eyes Right Optical, MYM Group and Noo. A waiting list is available for interested parties.
A feature of O-Show is the Live Window Dressing demonstrations, which happen on the show floor. Highly acclaimed retail stylist Kerry van Beuge, who specialises in the optical industry, will create eye catching window displays, offer design tips, and talk about upcoming trends and what to do with all the point of sale items that end up in your office. Additionally, ‘Snappy Business Topics’ sessions will help independent eye care practitioners become better retailers.
Robert Sparkes, ODMA Chair, said he is delighted with the response to O-Show. “We have had a strong spike in pre-registration of visitor numbers since we released our PROMO codes, allowing visitors to enter a draw to win AU$1000 and we expect many more from around Australia as well as New Zealand. This is a buying fair and a great opportunity to have an exclusive view of what is new,” he said.
