The Iridex Cyclo G6 Laser System and Probe delivery devices (G-Probe and MicroPulse P3) deliver laser energy in either CWPulse (CW) or MicroPulse (μP) treatment mode and are indicated for the treatment of glaucoma.
Developed by Professor Paul Chew, the Micropulse P3 is clinically proven to reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) by up to 33 per cent in patients with mild, moderate or severe glaucoma. As the treatment is non-invasive or destructive it may be repeated.
Optimed states that the procedure has been used to successfully lower IOP in patients who are non-drop compliant and those who desire to remove the need for medication or invasive surgery. Sometimes it is used as a complementary procedure to stent.
