Australian lens laboratory OSA has launched a complete range of optical lens and coating solutions to cater for all patient lifestyles. The company, which has supplied Australian independent optometry for nearly 30 years through its three local laboratories – OSA Online, City Optical and Wallace Everett – has also launched a refreshed brand identity.
According to the company, the new brand identity encompasses everything the brand stands for, “a premium affordable product range with a friendly and straight forward approach”. Product collateral has been designed to make it simpler to sell the OSA range to patients.
The OSA brand is working towards a more sustainable footprint with a focus on minimising the impact on the environment. Activities such as manufacturing and handling processes have been streamlined, packaging consolidated, and communications printed on recycled materials and/or made available in a digital format.
PREMIUM AND AFFORDABLE
OSA says “premium affordable products” and “consumer centred innovation” have always been at the core of its identity and the 2018 launch of the Intuitiv progressive lens was an example of this.
Representing years of collaboration between researchers and consumers, the Intuitiv progressive lens understands patients’ vision by taking into account the natural path of the eye based on different postures for left or right-handedness. Intuitiv’s improved design gives wide and stable intermediate vision, with up to 53% wider intermediate vision.
In line with the goal to provide premium affordable products, OSA has upgraded its range of lens coatings to suit all consumer lifestyles and needs for optimal vision care. The new Neva coating range, launched on 1 July includes: Neva +, Neva Max UV, Neva Blue UV, Neva Max Blue UV, and Neva Max Solaire UV.
Neva coatings feature anti-static properties, as well as effectively reducing reflections, smudges and scratches, while providing UV protection (E-SPF 25, E-SPF 35 or E-SPF 50) and blue light filtering (blocking up to 18% of blue light).
OSA has a dedicated sales team comprising Katie Cran-O’Hagan, Brad White, Joanna Towers, Rachel Neilson, Dave Wallace, and Sean Pockran.
