Leave the car at home and alight from the newly minted tram at Moore Park station to visit O SHOW2020 in the Hordern Pavilion, Sydney. Taking place from 16–17 May, O SHOW will deliver the latest optical industry fashion and technology in a CPD free zone. The take up of stand bookings at O SHOW has been quick with over 60% of space allocated prior to the 2019 year end.
Exhibiting companies are excited about the fashion focussed event at a boutique venue in the heart of Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter. The spotlight will be on new equipment and releases of new frames and sunglasses. Confirmed exhibitors include VMD, Optiqueline, Frames Etcetera, Tomato Glasses, Eyes Right Optical, Aviva, Modstyle, Opticvision, Noo, Raen, Rodenstock, Good Optical Designs for Vision, Optimed, Hoya, BOC Instruments, Optos, Zeiss and Device Technologies to name a few.
To add to the expo, ODMA is collaborating with Optometry NSW/ACT (ONSW/ACT) to jointly host a free business, practice and dispensing education stage as well as hands on demonstrations where exhibitors will encourage visitors to compare and contrast the equipment on display.
Andrew McKinnon, Chief Executive of ONSW/ACT, said he was delighted to be collaborating with ODMA on the business education aspects of the show, which will cover practical areas such as current dispensing topics, how to triage red eye, foreign objects etc, merchandising, stock control, practice gems and social media.
ODMA CEO Finola Carey welcomed the new relationship with OA NSW/ACT. “The collaboration allows us to offer a wider business education program centred on improving business for all the staff in your business from optometrist, dispenser, and practice manager to retail staff. We will also be showcasing our popular window dressing presentations three times daily,” she said.
To add to the atmosphere a cocktail party will be held within the exhibition on the Saturday night, which will not only be great fun but also a wonderful networking opportunity.
