OA COVID-19 Resources Now Available to all Optometrists

Optometry Australia (OA) has provided open access to its online resource hub which is loaded with comprehensive resources on COVID-19. The resources include clinical facts, staffing and human resources advice, infection control guidelines, and more.

You can also subscribe to Optometry Australia’s regular COVID-19 communications, for updates on the availability of new coronavirus resources and information relevant to optometry. These opt-in updates will be issued Monday to Friday in conjunction with Optometry Australia’s more comprehensive COVID-19 communications. Subscribe here

Optometrists are encouraged to attend a short webcast on telehealth, hosted by OA, on Thursday 2 April at 2pm AEDT

Support to Offer Telehealth

Optometry Australia is collaborating with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) and other stakeholders to ensure patients can continue to access emergency and time-sensitive eye care. This includes the delivery of tele-optometry services.

During week commencing 30 March, OA will release resources to help support optometrists as they prepare to offer more telehealth services. Optometrists are encouraged to attend a short webcast on telehealth, hosted by OA, on Thursday 2 April at 2pm AEDT.
