Cylite Pty Ltd, a developer and manufacturer of 4th generation optical coherence tomography (OCT) systems for ophthalmology and optometry, has been awarded ‘Australian Made’ status.
Cylite’s Hyperparallel OCT (HP-OCT) system has been engineered to give industry-leading A-scan speeds, capturing volume data to provide accurate analytics for corneal and refractive specialists. This 4th generation OCT platform overcomes the eye-motion limitations of previous generations of OCT.
The Australian Made, Australian Grown logo is administered by Australian Made Campaign Limited (AMCL), a not-for-profit public company established in 1999 by the Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ACCI) and the network of state and territory chambers of commerce, with the cooperation of the Federal Government. In 2002, the Federal Government transferred ownership of the logo to AMCL via a Deed of Assignment and Management, which sets out strict conditions under which AMCL may administer the logo.
Kylee Hall, Cylite’s VP Sales and Marketing Manager commented, “We are very proud to have met the criteria set out in the Australian Consumer Law and the AMAG Logo Code of Practice, and have the HP-OCT certified as Australian Made. The HP-OCT is such a complex medical device with bespoke firmware co-ordinating hundreds of precise optical, electrical and mechanic engineering components to all work in harmony and produce the motion artifact free volume images from the HP-OCT.”
Cylite is delighted to have been awarded this mark which further enhances our ability to take our Australian-designed and manufactured HP-OCT system into global markets
Cylite CEO Steve Frisken added, “The Australian-made mark is recognised world-wide as a symbol of both innovation and the highest quality workmanship. Cylite is delighted to have been awarded this mark which further enhances our ability to take our Australian-designed and manufactured HP-OCT system into global markets.”
