Optometrists are invited to attend a free webinar on myopia management, presented by well-known Australian optometrist/educator Dr Emma Gillies and prominent UK myopia management specialist Dr Nick Dash.
Hosted by Visioneering Technologies Inc. (VTI), the 90-minute live webinar titled Making Myopia Management Manageable will be delivered in two short, sharp parts addressing the role and responsibility of optometrists in offering myopia management and providing tools to put myopia management into practice.

Dr Dash will simplify the complexities of myopia management, with practical tips on communication and the varying ‘tools’ to manage progressing myopia in practice, one of which is the NaturalVue 1 day EDOF contact lens (a product of VTI). Parents of children managed by Dr Dash, who are successfully wearing NaturalVue 1 day, will also share their experience with their myopia management journey and NaturalVue.
Dr Gillies will present NaturalVue five-year clinical (paired) data showing the efficacy of the lens in slowing myopia progression.

About the Speakers
Dr Nick Dash
Dr Nick Dash is an independent clinical optometrist with 30 years’ experience and interest in a range of world-leading technologies to improve global eye care. He is currently an honorary lecturer at the University of Wales, Cardiff while continuing to see patients and undertaking clinical studies from a practice/clinic-based practice.
Dr Dash has lectured throughout the world, presenting at prestigious optometric and ophthalmology events including Harvard University, ‘Visionaries Meeting’ at the Royal College of Physicians London College of Surgeons, European Society of Cataract Surgery, and The Hong Kong Optometric Association.
Dr Emma Gillies
Dr Emma Gillies completed her optometry degree and PhD from Glasgow Caledonian University, and has over 15 years’ experience in private practice both in Scotland and Australia. She began her teaching career in the university clinic.
In Australia, Dr Gillies has worked as Professional Optometry Development manager with Luxottica and Professional Affairs Manager with Johnson & Johnson. She now has her own consultancy business specialising in leadership coaching, selling skills and communication, and is the Director of Professional Services for VTI.
