Dr Tony Hanks OAM, the well-known Australian optometrist and author of books including The Optometry Team, has launched an online Library of Optometry Forms and Patient Handouts.
The 247 page collection is available to optometrists worldwide.
“When we retired a few years ago, Vicki (Dr Hanks’ wife) and I were enjoying a life full of travel, family and friends. When all of that changed due to COVID, I used the time at home to develop some resources that would be useful to optometrists in any country,” explained Dr Hanks. “The idea was to sell copies of these to fund donations that would support optometry scholarships in developing countries.”
Dr Hanks and Mrs Hanks supported the launch of Vietnam’s first optometry school in Ho Chi Minh City and have previously awarded scholarships to its optometry students.
“My aim is that each PDF download should be useful to eye care professionals anywhere in the world and the orders have been coming from many countries.”

- A collection of clinical forms.
Optometry Practice Growth, a new Facebook page for optometrists world-wide, has also been established by Hanks Eye Charts and Optometry Downloads.
