Monoqool, a Danish design company and leading player in the production of 3D-printed sustainable eyewear, has expanded its collection will eleven new and distinctive eyewear models.

Blending a contemporary minimal style and trendsetting colours with comfort and state-of-the-art design, the new models range from panto styles, classic round and rectangular to dramatic oversized frames with a clear 1980s aesthetic.

Adhering to the philosophy ‘less is more’, Monoqool creates models with a timeless elegance. The new collection is enhanced by seasonal hues such as cloudy pink, subtle tones of deep forest, safari, ponderosa green in combination with the classic heritage red, Atlantic blue and pirate grey.

Within the collection is Monoqool’s new best seller – model Brand New Friend. This timeless design for everyday wear is a chic panto shape in a unisex style with medium to small proportions. Another stand out is model Utopia – a round frame with unexpected grooved detailing which shows off the versatility of 3D-printing technology.

Monoqool prides itself on its sustainability efforts that have been achieved through the success of 3D-printing which helps optimise the use of resources and allow the company to use 98% of the raw material used during the printing process. Monoqool also uses recycled stainless steel for frame parts and, through the 3D-printing process, is able to avoid overproduction and unnecessary waste.
