The ‘iwa (ee-vah) is a high-soaring frigatebird, with renowned aerial resilience, that spends most of its life gliding in the sky. Its return to the Hawaiian shores has been a predictor of forthcoming storms, so fishermen out-at-sea often take cues from the seabird’s behaviour.
This vantage point inspired the newest kapa pattern featured in MJO2227, showcasing the bird mid-flight. The crystal temple interior gives a clear view of the ‘iwa design, stamped on a metallic core. The latest addition to the kapa core collection, MJO2227 is an acetate frame with a small round silhouette, suitable for most medium face shapes.
