The Optical Company (TOC) continues its strategy of practice acquisition, finalising a deal to purchase The Eye Place in Singleton, New South Wales.
Aaron Kangisser, General Manager of TOC said he was delighted that the boutique practice had joined his group. “(Business owners) Adam Maher and Anna Davies have built a successful practice in a short time, they know their customer and the local community well. Having quickly established themselves in the local area with strong business acumen, the Singleton location complements our established network across the Newcastle and Hunter Region,” he said.
“The Eye Place is a practice with a core focus on vision care and optometry service. These aspects mirror our own foundation of eye care as the lead message, plus the business has an enthusiastic and skilled team who are well versed across a diverse customer group and the various eyewear solutions to service their clientele.”
Born and raised in Singleton, Mr Maher said that TOC offered the opportunity he and Ms Davies were seeking. “We are very proud of our business and wanted to find a partner where we can remain to focus on optometry while the business and operations are managed by experts in that area. With the competitive nature of the optical industry, we were looking for the support of an established business leader without losing our identity and The Optical Company deal gave us the best outcome to achieve our short team goal and stay on for the longer term.”
