PresMed Australia’s Epping Surgery Centre team has moved into a new custom-built two-theatre day surgery equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
The facility, which provides a full range of eye surgery procedures including cataract, glaucoma, cornea as well as cosmetic and plastic eye surgery, was officially opened by Mark Carmichael, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO).
Premier of New South Wales, Dominic Perrottet MP, paid tribute to the contribution that Epping Surgery Centre has made
Having provided ophthalmology services to the people of Epping for over 18 years, the grand opening attracted strong interest from the local community, as well as patients, general practitioners, and optometrists. PresMed’s executive team, its surgeons, current and former staff, and suppliers as well as the teams who contributed to building the facility, were also in attendance.
A letter received from the Premier of New South Wales, Dominic Perrottet MP, paid tribute to the contribution that Epping Surgery Centre has made, and will continue to make, to community eye health.
Mr Perrottet wrote, “For nearly two decades, the Epping Surgery Centre has worked to provide crucial eye surgery alongside dedicated care and service at both a medical level and customer level.
“To have such high-quality care locally available to the people of Epping is a great benefit for our community, as well as for those who come from outside the area to make use of the cutting-edge services on offer.
“In providing these important services, the Epping Surgery Centre and all who work in it are ambassadors for the high levels of excellence in healthcare that we have in Australia and NSW – both private and public.”
