Presented by optometrists Jessica Chi, David Foresto, Larry Kornhauser, and Alan Saks, the webinar will cover topics that include:
• Picking the best lens for the patient,
• Presenting options,
• Long-term management and options,
• Corneal cross-linking, grafts and intraocular lenses,
• Managing expectations,
• Ethics and economics,
• Corneal RGPs, sclerals, piggybacks, hybrids and soft lenses.

There will also be sponsor presentations and a panel discussion with a Q&A and live polling.

The webinar is pending approval for 1.5 hrs of OA IoE CPD.

About the Speakers

Jessica Chi
Jessica Chi is the director of Eyetech Optometrists, an independent contact lens practice in Melbourne, which prescribes all forms of specialty contact lenses. She is the current Victorian, and a past National President of the Cornea and Contact Lens Society and an invited speaker at meetings throughout Australia and beyond.

Ms Chi is a clinical supervisor at the University of Melbourne, Lead Visionary for Sight For All’s Contact Lens Projects, a columnist for mivision, a member of the Optometry Victoria/South Australia’s State Advisory Committee, and a fellow of the International Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control, the British Contact Lens Association, and the Australian College of Optometry.

David Foresto
David Foresto is a practising optometrist and QUT lecturer from Brisbane. He is also a former President of Optometry Queensland/NT. Mr Foresto has a specialist contact lens practice in Brisbane CBD where he works predominantly with custom contact lenses for keratoconus, grafts, myopia control and babies born with congenital cataract. He also provides theatrical contact lens fitting for the movie industry and has provided eye care for elite athletes including Brisbane Broncos and Cirque du Soleil.

Larry Kornhauser
Larry Kornhauser is a founding member of Keratoconus Australia (1999) and has been president of the Association since its creation in 2000. He was awarded the Order of Australia for his volunteer work in support of people with keratoconus and their families over the past 23 years and for his contributions to eye research in Australia in the field of keratoconus. In 2019 he launched an initiative through Vision 2020 Australia to create a mental health support network specifically designed to assist people with vision impairment.

Alan Saks
Alan Saks serves as the CEO of The Cornea & Contact Lens Society of Australia and as a writer for mivision journal. A third generation optometrist, he served multiple terms as President of Contact Lens Societies in South Africa and New Zealand, served on Education Committees and as Examiner in Contact Lenses & Clinical Optometry. He has presented to optometrists, ophthalmologists, registrars, support staff and pharmacists around the world, and has served on the editorial boards. He has been an Advisory Board member for Johnson & Johnson Vision, since 1987.
