All eye care professionals are invited to attend the sixth Ophthalmology Updates! Conference to be held at the Fullerton Hotel, Sydney, on the weekend of 26–27 August 2023.
This annual conference dedicates one hour to each of the major ophthalmic subspecialties: medical retina, oculo-plastics, cataract, neuro-ophthalmology, paediatrics, glaucoma, vitreo-retina, radiology, uveitis, ocular oncology, and cornea.
Dr Norman Swan from ABC National and the Coronacast, as keynote speaker will talk to the topic ‘Medicine and the media’
Convened by Adrian Fung, this year’s speakers include Professors Robyn Guymer, Justine Smith, Dinesh Selva, Associate Professor Michael Lawless, Drs Celia Chen, Craig Donaldson, Nathan Kerr, Mali Okada, Geoffrey Parker, Tony Hall, Li-anne Lim, and Elsie Chen.
Additionally, Dr Norman Swan from ABC National and the Coronacast, as keynote speaker will talk to the topic ‘Medicine and the media’, delving into how stories make it into the news, the evidence on Medicare fraud, and how doctors can make their voices heard.
Following each presentation, significant time will be allocated for questions and discussion.
The conference dinner will be held in the Sydney Opera House at the Bennelong restaurant.
