A one day conference on the Art of Ocular Imaging (AOI) will be held in Sydney on 22 July 2023. This independent initiative is being organised by orthoptists Mara Giribaldi and Christopher Hodge.
“It’s not easy for everyone to take a good image, even though the point and shoot of new technologies is making the process more foolproof,” explained Ms Giribaldi. “So having a conference for those who have a passion in ocular imaging and strive to be better at it – a conference day that focusses on the nuances in ocular disease and how imaging plays an important role in diagnosis and management in practice – will be well received. I feel it is something that is not readily available in Sydney.”

The inaugural conference, which will take place at 81 Broadway, Ultimo, will include sessions on imaging in disease and imaging in practice, as well as concurrent masterclasses. An ‘art of ocular imaging annual prize’ will be presented prior to network drinks.
