CPD Event: Surgical Co-Management and Patient Success

Effective surgical co-management and collaborative care will be the focus of a Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia (CCLSA) dinner event to be held in Sydney in August.

Three speakers will discuss optimising patient care for referral and co-management with ophthalmology, the tips and tricks for both anterior segment and retinal pathology patients in clinical practice, pre-op and post-op collaborative care for complex patients, and how to communicate and build a referral base with ophthalmology.

The first session, covering co-management of patients with anterior segment conditions, will be presented by Professor Colin Chan. The presentation will include real life case studies highlighting successful co-management scenarios.

Dr Margaret Lam will discuss optimising the management of a patient for referral or co-management with an ophthalmologist, including helpful advice on what care and tests are required.
