Keratoconus Australia Inc is a not-for-profit association created to prevent and control keratoconus and visual impairment caused by this disease. Membership is open to people with keratoconus or the parents and guardians of juveniles with keratoconus.
The organisation, which is run by volunteers, engages in activities to support people with keratoconus and their families. These include operating a helpline to answer questions about keratoconus, an outreach service to connect people with keratoconus, support for research into keratoconus and its treatments, advocacy on issues affecting the keratoconus community, public information campaigns and seminars, and involvement in eye-carer training.
