Global Hand Charity (GHC) is in need of optometrists to volunteer for a seven-day eye health outreach in Sri Lanka, from 21 – 28 January 2024.
GHC has a remarkable track record of success in conducting eye care outreach programs in remote communities of Laos, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka since 2017. In a recent mission in the Ampara region of Sri Lanka in March 2023, a staggering 1,800 patients were tested, and 2,500 spectacles were provided. Additionally, 200 patients were booked for cataract surgery, making a profound impact on the local communities.

While volunteers are expected to self-fund their expenses, including airfares, accommodation, food, and visa costs, GHC will provide comprehensive insurance coverage and transportation for the duration of the outreach.
