EssilorLuxottica will “reimagine” practice management to build Helix, a new division of the company focussed on helping eye care professionals (ECP) leverage modern technology.
The first offering from Helix, a next generation practice management system (PMS) platform called Vision(X), will be available to ECPs in the United States from quarter two in 2024.
The company said Helix will help ECPs reduce the overwhelming amount of tech and administrative burdens by taking care of all their digital needs in one interconnected platform – from booking and ordering to teleoptometry.
From one intuitive user interface ECPs will be able to navigate between tools seamlessly, eventually supported by one customer care team.
“There is a staggering amount of new practice technology available today, which is incredible for the eye care industry, but also really timeconsuming for ECPs who are juggling multiple platforms, systems, invoices and service reps,” said Fabrizio Uguzzoni, President of Professional Solutions for EssilorLuxottica North America.
“With Helix, we will completely reimagine the way ECPs can leverage modern technology to run their practices without the headaches we hear about so often.
“We already have strong and historically effective digital tools in our portfolio including VisionWeb. When we put them into a single interface where all the tools speak to each other seamlessly, it will be like putting a new engine into your practice. This, in turn, gives ECPs more time to dedicate to their patients.”
