Nominations are being sought for Australian Vision Research (AVR) Excellence Awards.
AVR is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting and supporting research and awareness into the causes of eye disease and the prevention of blindness.
It has launched the AVR Excellence Awards, to recognise AVR members for exceptional contributions to ophthalmic research.
The awards will recognise researchers in various categories, including emerging researchers, women in research and for distinguished service to ophthalmology.
AVR said self-nominations or nominations of colleagues are now open, with the nomination period closing on 1 March 2024.

The inaugural Australian Vision Research Excellence Awards will be announced at the 2024 RANZCO Congress to be held in Adelaide on 1–5 November 2024.
