Australian Hyperparallel Optical Coherence Tomography (HP-OCT) manufacturer Cylite has agreed to integrate the recently launched PreMO app into its software.
PreMO (Predicting Myopia Onset and progression) is evidence-based myopia risk indicator software developed by world renowned expert, Professor James Wolffsohn from Aston University, and based on research conducted by colleagues at Ulster University. The app uses spherical equivalent refraction, axial length, and parental myopia status to stratify the future risk of developing myopia as well as its progression once myopia has developed.
The app presents axial length for individual patients against predictive growth curves, as well as predicting at what age they will become myopic and how fast they will progress.
PreMO is anticipated to be added to the HP-OCT software sometime in 2024.
