To further assist eye care professionals in disease detection, management, and treatment planning, Optos has added a blue laser to the standard image generated by red/green lasers. This enables the creation of a single composite red/green/blue (RGB) optomap image, making it possible to now collect four individual image types with a single capture.
Visualising multiple image modalities at the same time increases the information available. Having access to more information should empower healthcare professionals to make more informed decisions, positioning them to diagnose pathology with greater clarity.
Optos devices produce multi-modality images which can include: colour red/green (rg); colour red/green/blue (rgb); red-free (sensory); red (choroidal); autofluorescence (af); fluorescein angiography (fa); indocyanine green angiography (icg) and optical coherence tomography (central and optomap-guided).
