Cataract and refractive surgeons are invited to attend a two-day symposium hosted by Alcon at the Hyatt Regency Sydney from 23 – 24 March 2024.
With presentations and panel discussions centred around the management of the modern cataract and refractive patient, Clinical Outcomes and Beyond: Optimising the Patient Experience will explore how to manage patients’ expectations and optimise clinical outcomes. Discussions will include patient counselling tips, patient selection, how to reduce the risk of refractive surprises and how to handle dissatisfied patients.
The steering committee for this symposium is Associate Professor Smita Agarwal (Wollongong Eye Specialists University of Wollongong); Dr Ben LaHood (Adelaide Eye and Laser Centre, University of Adelaide) and Dr David Gunn (Queensland eye Institute).
The keynote speaker for this symposium is Dr David Lubeck. Dr Lubeck is a cataract, corneal, refractive and advanced anterior segment surgeon who has practiced in Chicago for 30 years. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, Chicago.
