ICCLC 2024: The Matrix

The International Cornea and Contact Lens Congress (ICCLC), the flagship event of the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia (CCLSA) is set to take place from 23 to 25 August 2024 at the QT hotel and conference centre, Surfers Paradise.

Themed The Matrix, the 19th ICCLC, this educational event will deliver 20 diverse lectures covering many aspects of the anterior segment, ocular surface, dry eye and contact lenses (CLs). Additionally, delegates may attend workshops, breakfast presentations, panel discussions and Q&A sessions. A solid poster program will cover a broad range of topics.

As keynote speaker Dr Peter Pham, an ophthalmologist from Texas with expertise in dry eye and the inventor of Zocular, will present on dry eye and polysaccharide science. He will also present at ocular surface workshops.

Local optometrist David Foresto will cover easy ways to ramp up your CL practice and speak on the all-important management of corneal scarring.

Paediatric ophthalmologist Dr Craig Donaldson and optometrist Soo Jin Nam will explore how ophthalmology and optometry work together to best manage and prevent myopia progression. Other speakers include David Stephensen, Damien Fisher, Gavin Swartz, Hugh Bradshaw, Martin Robinson, and Mark Koszek

Also on the program are CLCA awards and a fabulous gala dinner.

Up to 18 (5T, 7.75i, 1.5Ti) CPD hours of Optometry Australia Institute of Excellence hours are available from this congress.
