Cylite is an Australian company that manufactures the world’s first hyperparallel optical coherence tomography (HP-OCT) device. The HP-OCT is a revolutionary new technology that creates true volumetric OCT images of the anterior and posterior segments. It scans the eye with 1,008 simultaneous, parallel beamlets in a series of snapshot captures, achieving scanning speeds of over 300,000 scans per second.
HP-OCT images can be used to very accurately define the topography and tomography of ocular surfaces, including the cornea, and are therefore ideal for use in contact lens fitting, including orthokeratology.
The HP-OCT not only generates highly precise corneal topography maps, it also allows the user to view how the contact lens sits on the eye using its 360° radial slice.
