A nation-wide series of intimate myopia-focused educational dinners, hosted by Johnson and Johnson Vision, has kicked off with successful evenings in Sydney and Melbourne. A Clinical Deep Dive
Aimed at optometrists and clinicians working in myopia management, the practitioner-focused sessions in Melbourne and Sydney paired high-level research with hands-on clinical guidance.
Each dinner featured Associate Professor Noel Brennan – the award‑winning researcher who played a key role in the development of the Acuvue Abiliti 1‑Day soft therapeutic contact lens for myopia management alongside Dr Emma Gillies, Head of Professional Education and Development at Johnson and Johnson Vision.

Together they led data-driven briefings and practical discussions on myopia projections, therapeutic daily disposable lens data, and strategies for embedding myopia management into routine practice.
The CPD‑accredited program combined a three-year evidence update with a clinical deep dive into Acuvue Abiliti 1‑Day fitting considerations. Facilitated case discussions gave attendees a chance to work through real‑world scenarios, emphasising family communication, monitoring protocols and documentation that support long‑term outcomes. The dinner format enabled focused peer discussion and rapid translation of research into clinical workflows.
