Cobra+ is a non-mydriatic digital fundus camera for early detection of age-related macular diseases and meibomian gland disease (MGD), as well as meibomian gland atrophy.
The five-megapixel camera produces high-definition (HD) retinal images with a visual field up to 50°, even through small pupils with a diameter of 2.5 mm. Nine internal fixation points enable fast acquisition of HD peripheral retina images that can be combined into one panoramic image.
Features include automatic measurement of cup-to-disk ratios for fast glaucomatous disease detection. In combination with CSO Phoenix software and the CSO Retimax, retinal images can be overlapped with an electroretinogram multifocal test when diagnosing and following up macular degeneration and degenerative hereditary retinal diseases. On a single screen, CSO software can display multiple wavelength images from the Cobra+: original, infrared, red-free; as well as choroidal, vascular and nerve fibre images. The AVR tool measures the ratio between the branch arteriolar-venous diameter for detecting early signs of cardiovascular issues.
