Ophthalmopro describes the new eyePlate-S as the next step forward in glaucoma drainage technology. Building on the trusted eyePlate platform, this new device combines a microsized tube with an optimised, ultra-thin silicone plate to give surgeons greater versatility and patients better outcomes.
The tube’s small external diameter allows entry via a 25G needle, while its narrow lumen supports precise flow control and helps reduce the risk of post-operative hypotony. At just 0.8 mm thick, the flexible plate can be folded for smoother insertion through a smaller incision, and its design maximises drainage without needing placement under the rectus muscles – lowering diplopia risk.
Available in two sizes (200 mm² and 300 mm²), the eyePlate-S is compatible with minimally invasive tube surgery, with procedures achievable in around 20 minutes.
