Melbourne optometrists will have the opportunity to hear from ophthalmologist Dr Benjamin Au on one of optometry’s hot topics – myopia control and prevention – at an in-person event later this month.
Registrations are open for the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia (CCLSA) evening session, which has continuing professional development (CPD) accreditation.
Dr Au underwent his ophthalmology training at the Singapore National Eye Centre and Singapore Eye Research Institute. Through his time there he was heavily involved in myopia management in children through his clinical practice while also contributing to research on myopia progression. He is the current Clinical Lead of the Acute Ophthalmology Service at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Visiting Consultant at Yarra Ranges Health, Eastern Health.
The talk will aim to share his management style based on current evidence and best practice while also discussing the future of myopia progression management.
