Ophthalmix – the Australian device company established in 2024 by Brad Grills – has been appointed as the exclusive distributor of Oculus from 1 April 2025.

Alongside the Pentacam family of products, Oculus offers a comprehensive range of ophthalmic diagnostic devices specialising in biometry, corneal biomechanics, tear-film analysis, myopia control, perimetry, slit lamp imaging and refraction essentials.

Ophthalmix is selectively growing its product range, which now includes LKC Technologies’ RETeval handheld device for electroretinography and visual evoked potential; Konan Medical’s ophthalmic diagnostic devices; AOC vision charts; INKA German-made instruments; TearView – a novel camera developed in Sydney to measure and assess tear film; and BVI Medical’s surgical solutions for vitreoretinal and other surgical procedures.

Speaking to mivision about the company’s direction, Mr Grills said, “Our focus at Ophthalmix is to partner with innovative companies and provide our market with quality products and solutions supported by some ‘good old-fashioned service’ and education, which we feel is what the industry needs, and it has always been our philosophy.”
