CSO Cobra+ Fundus Camera

Cobra+ is a leading edge, user-centric, non-mydriatic digital fundus camera for early detection of macular diseases and meibomian gland dysfunction.

The five-megapixel camera produces high-definition (HD) retinal images up to a 50° visual field. It can capture images through small pupils with a diameter of 2.5 mm.

Cobra+ has nine internal fixation points, allowing quick acquisition of HD peripheral retina images. Multiple HD images can be combined into one panoramic image. CSO has built in many user-centric features, such as an automatic measurement of ‘cup to disc’ ratios, which increases the ease of use and the speed of glaucomatous disease detection.

In combination with CSO Phoenix software and the CSO Retimax, the retinal image can overlap with electroretinogram multifocal testing. This combination provides comprehensive retinal profiles and the precise health indicators of every analysed retinal area, which is useful for the diagnosis and follow-up of macular degeneration and degenerative hereditary retinal diseases.

On a single screen, the CSO software can display multiple wavelength images from the Cobra+: it can display the original image, infrared image, and red-free image; as well as the choroidal, vascular, and nerve fibre images for in-depth retina examinations. An arteriovenous ratio (AVR) tool is also available to measure the ratio between the branch arteriolar-venous diameter, used to detect early signs of cardiovascular issues. The CSO Cobra includes infrared meibography, allowing you to screen patients for meibomian gland atrophy.
