Many people with dry eye disease do not achieve sufficient relief with over-the-counter eye drops and lifestyle modifications.1
Ciclosporin has been endorsed by the global guidelines of the Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society Dry Eye Workshop (TFOS DEWS) II as a second-line treatment option for dry eye disease, when first line interventions do not provide adequate relief.1
Cequa (ciclosporin 900 microgram/mL) is an aqueous, nanomicellar, ophthalmic, ciclosporin solution indicated to increase tear production in moderate to severe dry eye disease where prior use of artificial tears has not been sufficient.2 It is available as a private prescription and on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) for a subsection of patients living with chronic severe dry eye disease with keratitis.3
