Aaron Kangisser, Chief Operating Officer of The Optical Company.
The Optical Company has announced it has expanded its network in New South Wales, with the acquisition of Eyecare Plus Wallsend.
Aaron Kangisser, Chief Operating Officer of The Optical Company, said the Wallsend practice, in Newcastle, north of Sydney, “represents exactly the kind of business we look for, it’s deeply rooted in its community, with a genuine commitment to outstanding patient care”.
Rawlyn Jones, optometrist and practice wwner, said the decision to join The Optical Company “means we can continue doing what we love… while also having access to the broader support and resources that come with being part of a larger, like-minded group”.
“For me personally, it’s great to be able to achieve a successful transition and know the practice will continue in the right hands. We’re excited about what’s ahead for Wallsend Optometrists.”
The Optical Company said the acquisitions reflect a “clear and considered strategy”: to grow a network of well-established, community-focused optical practices
Building on Momentum
The acquisition of Eyecare Plus Wallsend follows The Optical Company’s successful acquisition of the four Shire Optometrists practices, which serve communities across Sydney’s Sutherland Shire, late last year.
The Optical Company said the acquisitions reflect a “clear and considered strategy”: to grow a network of well-established, community-focused optical practices while preserving the practices’ individual character and patient relationships.
The Optical Company’s portfolio now spans 59 optical practices across Australia.
