Eyerising International, in partnership with mivision, will host a free CPD webinar, exploring the adoption and real-world use of repeated low-level red-light (RLRL) therapy for myopia management in Australian clinical practice.
The webinar will be presented on Wednesday 18 November 2026, from 7pm – 8:30pm (AEDT).
The session will bring together perspectives from ophthalmology and optometry, combining recent developments in the RLRL evidence base with practical clinical experience, challenging case examples, and longer-term observations from patients treated in real-world settings.
The webinar will open with a brief update from Dr Lisa Zhuoting Zhu from Eyerising International, highlighting recent developments and studies in the field of RLRL, and providing context for the clinical discussions that follow.
Dr Stephen Hing, a paediatric ophthalmologist from Sydney, will then discuss the clinical journey that led him to consider and subsequently incorporate RLRL into his management of children with myopia. Drawing on his experience as an ophthalmologist, Dr Hing will also discuss his clinical approach and present different patient cases.
Philip Cheng, an optometrist from Melbourne, will provide a practical view of how RLRL has been incorporated into a real-world myopia management practice. Having treated patients with RLRL in his clinic for two years, Mr Cheng will share practical implementation insights, patient management considerations, and results from his growing clinical cohort. He will also discuss lessons learned from integrating RLRL and practical considerations for clinicians adopting the treatment within their own practices.
