Professor Adrian Fung is Head of the Westmead Hospital Vitreoretinal Unit and a specialist in vitreoretinal surgery, medical retina diseases, and posterior segment tumours of the eye. Widely published, he has been a principal investigator for multiple clinical trials and was the first surgeon outside the United States to insert the Port Delivery System and amongst the first in the world to use the Alcon Unity Vitrectomy Platform. He is Co-Chair of the RANZCO Scientific Programme Committee and 2026 APVRS Congress Scientific Programme Committee, a RANZCO RACE examiner, and he sits on the ANZSRS Surgical Registry Committee.
