CooperVision Australia has announced the launch of its Biofnity Toric product, a silicone hydrogel toric lens combining the unique material technology of AQUAFORM and an optimised toric design. With exceptional comfort and vision for the patient, the lens also offers practitioners an ideal option for new toric fts with an easy to ft approach. The new lens is available in plano to -6.00D, in three cylinders -0.75, -1.25 and -1.75 with around the clock axes. There are already plans in place to extend the parameter range within the next three to four months to bring the available sphere powers to +6.00D to -8.00D (0.50D steps after – 6.00D), incorporating a fourth cylinder of -2.25. The spherical Biofnity product is already available in a range to cover from +8.00 to -12.00 (0.50 steps after +/-6.00).
