Two of Australia’s best known eyewear distributors have joined forces to establish one of the largest independent distributors in the country.
Ian and Gail Hoole of Mondottica and Joe Pascali of Allso have announced the merging of Allso’s Eyewear operations into the Mondottica business.
They say that the joining of these two distribution businesses will provide a comprehensive stable of strong brands that are well placed to cater for all sectors of the optical market.
Mondottica, well known for its leading stable of brands including JAG and Ted Baker, will expand the operation in Australia and New Zealand, by integrating Allso’s top selling brands Mako Sunglasses, Linea, Blue Steel, Elizabeth Arden and Celine Dion into the Mondottica Business. Allso’s sales operation and team will also join the expanded Mondottica business.
Ian Hoole, who will head the operation as Managing Director says: “The addition of the Allso brands and team will make the Mondottica business a much larger and stronger entity. We will be well placed to service the optical industry’s product and brand needs now from Budget Optical in the Linea range, through our Fashion brands in the form of JAG, Shanghai Tang and Ted Baker, through to Leading Edge Polarized Sunwear in the Mako range.
“We are particularly excited about the addition of Australia’s leading Polarised Sunglass brand, Mako. Mako has a strong following and our plans are to expand and build on the Mako brands appeal with significant marketing support going forward.”
He says that with such a comprehensive range in all sectors, Mondottica can now, in effect, be a one stop shop for all of your Optical and Sunwear needs.
Joe Pascali, who will remain in a consulting role says: “after 40 successful years pioneering polarised technology with Mako, I’m proud to be able to continue to build the Allso brands in the capable hands of Mondottica one of Australia’s most experienced and customer focused distributors.”
