The manufacturers call it “a random new range of optical frames for kids that puts the cool factor into eyewear”. These latest specs for kids from ProOptics are aptly named -‘Random’.
ProOptics says the range fills a gap in the market for stylish frames that kids “want to wear” while being ergonomically comfortable and age appropriate.
“We worked in consultation with behavioural optometrists to create this range and they’ve been on the design table for 12 months,” says Jacque Katsieris, ProOptics Managing Director.
“There isn’t much choice on the market when it comes to frames that provide both a great look and a great fit for kids. They tend to look over, under or around their frames, adversely affecting the quality of their vision and weakening their eyesight. The challenge was to create frames that would optimise their field of vision without compromising on quality or style.”
The range has been extensively tested by kids for function, fit and fashion. There are six ‘models sized from 46 to 49.
