National ACBO Vision Conference 2011

he Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO) will run a series of seminars over the coming months to cater to all levels of interest and skills in the areas of behavioural vision care, neuro-rehabilitative optometry, binocular vision, vision therapy and even practice management advice for the behavioural practitioner.

The College’s annual premier conference is the National ACBO Vision Conference (NACBO). This year it will start on the day preceding ODMA in Sydney, enabling practitioners to meet their CPD requirements and hear the latest clinical information.

American optometrist Dr. Curt Baxstrom will present a range of lectures to interest all levels of experience. Dr. Baxstrom will discuss the brain behind the eyes from development, movement and learning perspectives.

He will also discuss vision’s role in reading and numeracy. To round off the seminar he will look at neuro rehabilitative optometry in regard to traumatic brain injury and stroke patients. Expect to leave the conference with lots of useful tips to use in your consulting room.
