Mako will launch its Rx program at ODMA with single vision and progressive freeform glazing in six and eight base frames.
The brand’s distributor, Mondottica says that by using the latest multi axis Rx machinery, Mako’s hard wearing TR-90 frames can be fitted with Rx scripts, giving the consumer “a finished product that will stand the test of time”. The brand’s two year warranty will apply to the new Rx program along with all plano stock.
With up to 40 Rx able sku’s as well as new bifocal models the company says there will be plenty of models for your customers to choose from.
The new range includes regular polarised lenses and photochromic polarised lenses to appeal to a wide market of outdoor enthusiasts. Both PC and nylon based lenses, up to 1.67 index, will be available covering a wide range of scripts in high wrap full coverage eight base frames. This style of frame, the company says, is very popular in the marine and outdoor markets and at the core of Mako’s customer base.
Brand Manager Dan Burgess said “its very exciting for Mako, we are a fully owned Australian company and brand that will now be genuinely competing with some of the biggest polarised eyewear companies in the world
According to Mondottica, all lenses will include Mako’s 12+ anti-reflective coatings, oleophobic and hydrophobic coatings and the “best multi-hardcoats available”. Having built its reputation on high quality polarised lenses, the company says the Rx program will follow this mantra, offering “only the highest quality available at very competitive prices”.
