Big frame companies JF Rey, Emporio Armani, Hello Kitty, Lotus and Lindberg, as well as Hoya and Satisloh, are just some of the major global brands that will vie for buyers’ attention at the prestigious Shanghai International Optics Fair (SIOF) from 22-24 February 2012.

The Fair will occupy a massive exhibition area of 42,000 square metres at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre, venue of the World Expo in 2010.

SIOF is reputed to be the largest international optical event in Asia and is endorsed by the Ministry of Commerce of China as a “recognised distinguished exhibition”.

Destined as Asia’s premier and largest optical fair, SIOF 2012 will display state-of-the-art spectacles and collections from leading global eyewear brands from around the world as well as cutting-edge visual test equipment, manufacturing machinery and accessories. Additionally delegates can attend a series of professional seminars.

China is an enormous market for exporters with 550 million citizens in need of eye care services. An incredible 50 million people wear contact lenses. Increasingly, the Chinese population craves luxurious, branded, imported eyewear.
