For decades the Dunhill brand has been synonymous with functional and innovative products designed for the discerning gentleman.
It has also been synonymous for diamond cut embossing – a highly innovative process that Alfred Dunhill has been perfecting since the 1920s. Diamond cut embossing is an engraving process carried out with extreme precision. The pattern is embossed onto the titanium temples then coated using what’s known as the ‘Togidashi method’.
Togidashi originates from the Japanese words togu (grinding) and dasu (to bring forth). This technique results in a beautifully elegant, faceted, three-dimensional finish and has been used on both optical and sunglass models in the Dunhill Classic collection.
