In another first for the Australian optical profession, in 2005 Charmant/OP’s further enhanced its B2B technology by arming their sales force with personal digital assistants (PDAs). These enabled the sales team to place orders via the website, with live inventory levels available at the time of placing an order in the practice.
www.ops.com.au allows customers to view, in real time, their full catalogue of frames and sunglasses along with live inventory levels.
Customers can order product online, check their ordering history, see what has been dispatched or the expected dispatch time, and download copies of both invoices and statements. Customers can pay online with all major credit cards. Payment at the time of placing orders can attract a further discount.\
