Being the inventor of the first optical biometer and the first commercial OCT, Zeiss is introducing what it is calling the “next generation of optical biometry” – the IOLMaster 700.
The IOLMaster 700’s SWEPT Source Biometry is able to generate longitudinal B-scans through the entire length of the eye. Along with the unique distance-independent telecentric keratometry, this B-scan provides all required biometric parameters as well as visualisation of the anatomy, enabling detection of unusual eye geometries such as tilt or decentration of the crystalline lens.
Continuity with previous models is maintained regarding lens constants and refractive surprises are minimised with the use of the foveal fixation check. Additionally, toric IOL surgery is facilitated with the on-board Haigis-T formula and connection to the ZEISS Cataract Suite markerless solution
