ACO Conference – Early Bird Entry

The Australian College of Optometry (ACO) has announced an early bird registration for its sixth National Conference, which will be held on 24 and 25 October at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column]

This boutique conference will feature renowned speakers who will consider a range of clinical and academic issues of interest to all optometrists. The full program – which is available on the ACO website – will provide ample opportunities to listen to a wide range of excellent speakers, interact with peers, network with industry representatives, participate in a symposium and actively engage in a discussion panel.

Among the keynote speakers are the renowned Dr. Sue Ormonde, New Zealand’s only female refractive surgeon and Australia’s Dr. Hong Zhang who is Principal Investigator, leads Drug Delivery at the Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA). Dr. Ormonde is guaranteed to stimulate many interesting conversations when she speaks on ‘Refractive Surgery for Keratoconus: Options that can now be Discussed Outside the Cone of Silence’. Dr. Hong Zhang will challenge optometrists to expand their horizons when she takes to the stage to present her lecture entitled ‘New Modes of Drug Delivery: Looking Beyond the Bottle’.

The ACO’s early bird discount of 25 per cent is now available and will close on 30 June. Visit http://www.aco.org.au/professional-development/aco-national-conference to obtain additional information and to register for this CPD event.
