AVC 2016 2–3 April

Optometry Queensland / Northern Territory has invited optometrists from around Australia and the world to attend the annual Australian Vision Convention (AVC), on Queensland’s Gold Coast, from Saturday 2 to Sunday 3 April, the weekend after Easter.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column]

Australian Vision Convention 2016 will run to a new format that encourages delegates to design their own program. During the Saturday session delegates will have the opportunity to attend either a hands-on workshop or presentations in the main lecture hall. Interested in a foreign body removal workshop, RGP fitting or a presentation on ocular oncology? It’s your choice!

The entire two day program will deliver over 40 CPD points from high calibre presenters within session themes such as children’s vision, contact lenses, technology, therapeutics and more. Speakers include Associate Professor Bang Bui, Dr. Brendan Cronin, Associate Professor Graham Lee, Dr. Geraldine Moses, Associate Professor Mark Roth, Lisa Bakker and workshop presenters Dr. Julie Albietz and Celia Bloxsom.

For the first time, Australian Vision Conference will be held at the Gold Coast’s Marriott Resort and Spa in 2016. Within the new venue, Optometry Queensland / Northern Territory promises all the AVC favourites, with an extensive array of exhibitors, daily breakfast sessions, SeaWorld conference dinner on the Saturday night, optional online assessment and complimentary child minding.
