ORA System featuring VerifEye

The ORA System is said to help meet the refractive demands of your cataract patients.

As more patients seek to be spectacle free following cataract surgery, the need for advanced diagnostics increases. ORA (Optiwave Refractive Analysis) with VerifEye+ the company says is “the world’s first intraoperative wavefront aberrometer”. ORA provides verification of your surgical plan by taking real time aphakic refractions which account for anterior and posterior corneal curvature, as well as surgical induced astigmatism.

In addition to measuring the total cylinder of the eye following 30 postoperative results, the analyzOR proprietary algorithm calculates specific surgeon factors and uses regression analysis to continually refine its predictions for individual surgeon optimisation and even tighter refractive outcomes.

Of the most demanding patients are those with prior myopic LASIK correction. In a study of 246 eyes with a history of myopic LASIK correction, ORA was shown to provide an additional 21 per cent of patients, with a postoperative result within ±0.50D from target compared to surgeon best preoperative choice.1
